	MANUFACTURING PROCESS
	Another step forward! Due to the demand for our line of products we are now able to incorporate new technologies in the manufacturing of our plates and detail sets. Beginning with the McLaren MP4/6, MP4/7 and MP4/8 our new manufacturing process is being used.
	STEEL PARTS With our new photo etching process we can now produce details 4 to 5 times smaller/thinner than before. You can now see the bevel direction on the screw head of DZUS fastener or the small text written on a tank cap or better details on the engine head logo for example. LASER CUT PARTS Another new feature is the use of laser cutting technology. We now have absolute control over our stainless steel, brass and aluminum parts. Parts previously reproduced by injection only can now be done using this new laser technology. The 1/12 McLaren MP 4/6 front suspension pivots were made using this new technology for example. FINISHING From now on we will no longer brush finish our part sets at the factory. Instead, instructions to achieve the best finish for each part will be included with each photo-etch/detail set. You can now decide what type of final look you would like your detail parts to have. You can simulate the burned metal look on exhaust heat shields for example. You can also simulate aluminum, titanium, stainless steel and semi-gloss metal finishes as well. All of this is possible because we are now using a new top quality steel that is not only capable of reproducing details 4 to 5 times greater than before but also allows various finishes to be obtained depending on the level of sanding and/or brushing by the modeler. In addition, the unfinished dark metal plates from the factory are "ready to paint" for the modeler who prefers to paint some of the detail parts.
